Providence UMC is sponsoring a UMVIM trip to Prague, Czech Republic 19-26 June 2012. The purpose of the trip will primarily be to share our faith, as well as be "good will ambassadors" on behalf of our country to this former Soviet-dominated land. Costa Rica Mission Opportunity:
United Methodists from across South Carolina will be returning to work in Costa Rica this summer. Dates of the trip are June 9-16. Lee McDonald will be leading the team and the team will be working with Wil Bailey of Costa Rica Missions Project building either a Sunday School room or parsonage in San Isidro, Costa Rica. Two informational meetings will be held at Shandon UMC in Columbia, SC on January 22 and January 29-- both at 3:00pm.
Rice and Beans Ministry in Costa Rica Base Camp Week:
July 7-14. A week set aside each year to work with churches from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama coming together to serve with churches from the
US in Costa Rica. It is a week of children's ministry and food ministry filled each morning and night with spirit-filled worship. Will serve 5000-7000 kids in VBS and visit 750-800 families in the food ministry. The cost of the week is around $1550. If you are interested, please contact Fred Curry at fred@rabmin.org
